Artist 4 Bedroom Townhouse With Backyard Garden
Welcome to our eco-friendly home — a beautifully renovated, solar powered townhouse in Brooklyn. You'll have the entire 4 bedroom, 3 level apartment to yourself, with newly renovated kitchen and bathrooms, private backyard garden, original artwork, and lots of space to spread out. Only a 3 min walk to the subway and less than 30 minutes to lower Manhattan. A tranquil retreat on a quiet tree lined street. We've been super hosts on Airbnb for over 9 years with 500+ 5-star ★★★★★ reviews!
The space:
This 3 level apartment sleeps up to 8 guests comfortably in 3 bedrooms and a separate, private basement studio. The space is elegant and modern, furnished with high-end comforts and all natural cotton linens (no synthetics here). Enjoy the fully equipped marble-top kitchen, smart TV (with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV and Hulu), high-speed wifi, washer and dryer (a rare find in NYC!), high ceilings and hardwood floors, and large private backyard garden. Savor a full day of adventures in the city and come back to a quiet, relaxing home away from home. Plus never worry about losing your keys with our keyless smart locks!
Our newly renovated kitchen is at your disposal for preparing a gourmet meal or whipping up something quick after a long day of exploring. We provide locally roasted Brooklyn coffee, and your choice of drip coffee maker or french press. There’s also a dishwasher to make cleaning a breeze. Please help yourself to any spices, dry goods, oils and vinegars, etc. you come across — we set this space up to host friends and family, and warmly extend that invitation to our guests.
The layout:
The first floor is a spacious, open living area, with a dining table, multiple couches, smart TV, board games and yoga mats, fully equipped kitchen, a 1/2 bath, and charming private backyard garden with outdoor seating.
The second floor has 3 bedrooms with lots of storage space and a full bath. One bedroom has two large windows and a full size bed (and a bookshelf full of our favorite books!), the second bedroom has one large window with garden views and a queen size bed, and the third bedroom is in the middle, with no windows and a full size bed. There are dressers and/or closets in every room, and a hallway closet with extra hanging space that you are more than welcome to use. There are also extra blankets and pillows in most closets.
The basement level is a completely separate studio with a private bath and second entrance to the backyard garden. Here there is a workspace with a large desk, storage options, and a washer and dryer that you’ll have full access to. This is a wonderful extra-quiet space to work from home, if need be. *To note — the basement does not have windows but *does* have a floor-to-ceiling glass door that lets in light and leads up to the backyard garden.
Our apartment is now solar powered, which we are super excited about. From our linens and towels, to our amenities and cleaning supplies, we aim to be as eco-friendly (and toxin and allergen free) as possible. All of our hand soaps are from Blueland, a plastic-free, plant-based cleaning company. Our coffee and tea is locally sourced. And we partner with a local woman-owned cleaning company that pays a living wage.

Enjoy a charming private backyard garden with outdoor seating!
Where you'll be:Far enough from the city hubbub to get a relaxing night's sleep and wake to birds chirping, but close enough to catch a direct train into Manhattan in less than 30 minutes. The best happy medium we've been able to find in NYC!
This area is still very much residential. There are a few cafes, restaurants, and galleries within walking distance, and more and more are starting to pop up. Some of the most delicious and up and coming restaurants in Brooklyn are only a few train stops away (we love Saraghina, L'Antagoniste, and Peaches). Conveniently there is lots of free street parking, and it's usually easy to find a spot in front of our house (just be mindful of alternate side parking rules).
Via AirBnB: "If you are looking for a melting pot NYC experience in a up and coming, bohemian style neighborhood, this is your place! A safe and racially diverse neighborhood- comprised mainly of families, younger professionals, and artists- this area offers many conveniences such as markets and local shopping, cafes and a bevy of dining/eating options."
Getting around:The Rockaway Ave subway stop on the C train is just 3 blocks from our home. It is about a 25 min ride to lower Manhattan and 45 min ride to Times Square.
*Please note, the closest subway entrance to us is at Thomas S Boyland St, NOT at Rockaway Av. Walk towards the Thomas S Boyland St exit and then you'll be just 3 blocks from us ?
We're centrally located in between JFK and Manhattan. A 20-30 min cab ride from/to JFK, or about 1 hour by public transportation.
The A/C subway line runs through some of the most iconic NYC destinations, including DUMBO, Wall Street, Chinatown, Soho, Greenwich Village, West Village, Broadway, Times Square, and Central Park. Great for tourists, or for anyone needing to get to city hubs efficiently, with minimal transfers.
