Thy is also well placed for trips to the Gold Reef, a famed fishing spot located in the North Sea between Denmark and Norway. If you have no luck with your rod and line, fresh fish are readily available from the local fishmongers or direct from the harbour, where the fishermen will welcome you with their warm humour and distinctive accent. As this region borders on the North Sea, the weather can change quickly. All types of weather have their own special attraction – but remember to bring the right clothing!
