It is the country’s largest natural reserve – and its' most spectacular.As well as being the gateway to the national park, this attractive Engadin village is home to its visitor centre, open year round. Zernez also offers an excellent range of tourist facilities, including the relaxing and fun-filled family/wellness pool, mini-golf, and a new playground.Stretching out from the resort is a fabulous network of footpaths and bike trails; active visitors can also tackle the three Nordic Walking trails, and the “Vita-Parcours” exercise trail in the forest.Winter: The attractive Engadin village also makes a peaceful base for exploring the region’s various large ski areas, while from the doorstep a network of cross-country ski trails leads into the expansive valley of the Upper Engadin, down into the wild and romantic Lower Engadin, and around Zernez itself. Anyone seeking a very special experience of nature can book a guided snowshoe tour – for example up at the Ofen Pass.
